ethPortFunctionalStatus

Module: FIBRONICS-MIB

OID (symbolic): FIBRONICS-MIB::ethPortFunctionalStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.101.2.2.12.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The value of this attribute reflects the functional status of FIBRONICS synchronous ports. Note that it is not mandatory that all ports support all the enumerated states. Here is the minimal set possible states: OK - fully functional port, transmitting and receiving packets. RLD - receive link down condition on the port. TLD - transmit link down condition on the port. LocalJabber - fault condition indicating that the port emitted jabber. RemoteJabber - fault condition indicating that remote jabber was sensed at the port. IllSeq - Fault condition indicating an illegal synchronization sequence at the port. ShortCircuit - short-circuit fault condition detected at the port. PartitionOrLocalJabber - RemoteFaultOrLockLoss -

What is ethPortFunctionalStatus?

Reports this synchronous Ethernet port's functional status from a set including ok(1), rld(2) (receive link down), localJabber(3), tld(4) (transmit link down), remoteJabber(5), and several other fault conditions, though not every port supports every state. An admin treats anything other than ok(1) as a link-level fault requiring physical-layer investigation, starting with the specific condition reported.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.101.2.2.12.3.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> FIBRONICS-MIB::ethPortFunctionalStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.101.2.2.12.3.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> FIBRONICS-MIB::ethPortFunctionalStatus.1
