agentRouterRipSplitHorizonMode

Module: FASTPATH-ROUTING-MIB

OID (symbolic): FASTPATH-ROUTING-MIB::agentRouterRipSplitHorizonMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.2.3.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Sets the RIP split horizon operating mode in the router. A value of none(1) means split horizon processing is disabled. When set to simple(2), the simple split horizon technique is used. When set to poisonReverse(3), the split horizon with poison reverse technique is used. The default split horizon mode is simple(2).

What is agentRouterRipSplitHorizonMode?

Selects RIP's split-horizon loop-prevention technique: none(1) disables it entirely, simple(2) (the default) suppresses advertising a route back out the interface it was learned on, and poisonReverse(3) instead advertises it back with an infinite metric, converging faster after a link failure at the cost of extra update traffic.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> FASTPATH-ROUTING-MIB::agentRouterRipSplitHorizonMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.2.3.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> FASTPATH-ROUTING-MIB::agentRouterRipSplitHorizonMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.2.3.2.1 i <value>
