What is agentResCtlRequestTimeout?

This read-write value, in seconds, sets how long the resolver waits before retransmitting a DNS request to the server, defaulting to 3 seconds. An admin tunes this along with agentResCtlRequestRetransmits to control how aggressively or patiently the device retries unanswered DNS queries, balancing responsiveness against a slow or lossy network. For example, an admin on a high-latency WAN link to their DNS server might raise agentResCtlRequestTimeout above the 3-second default to avoid premature retransmissions.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> FASTPATH-DNS-RESOLVER-CONTROL-MIB::agentResCtlRequestTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.37.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> FASTPATH-DNS-RESOLVER-CONTROL-MIB::agentResCtlRequestTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.37.1.1.4.1 i <value>
