What is bigipUpdateError?

This notification trap is generated when the F5 BIG-IP system encounters an error while checking for available software updates. The trap signals a failure in the automatic update-checking mechanism, either due to network connectivity issues or repository problems. System administrators receive this alert to investigate and resolve update service failures.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB::bigipUpdateError
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.155

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
