Description:

In failover condition, this standby will not be able to go active.

What is bigipStandByFail?

This notification alert indicates that a standby F5 BIG-IP load balancer has failed and cannot transition to active mode in a failover scenario. When this trap is sent, the standby device will not take over if the primary device fails. An operator managing high-availability load balancer pairs would immediately investigate this alert to restore redundancy.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
