A node is detected UP.

What is bigipNodeUp?

This is a notification trap that is sent when an F5 load balancer detects that one of its backend nodes has come online and is ready to receive traffic. The trap signals a recovery event in the pool of backend servers that the load balancer manages. Monitoring systems use this notification to track node availability and adjust traffic routing accordingly.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB::bigipNodeUp
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.13

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
