What is bigipLogAlert?

This is a notification (trap) that the system sends to indicate an urgent alert condition requiring immediate action for the system to operate properly. It represents a high-severity event that may impact system functionality or service delivery. Monitoring systems subscribe to this notification to trigger immediate escalation and incident response procedures.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB::bigipLogAlert
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.30

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
