The license validation failed.

What is bigipLicenseFailed?

This notification fires when the F5 load balancer cannot validate its software license (expired, revoked, or corrupted). Receiving this alert means the device may stop functioning soon or has already stopped accepting traffic. An operator checks the license file immediately and either renews the license or contacts F5 support.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB::bigipLicenseFailed
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.19

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
