What is bigipLibhalDiskBayRemoved?

This notification is sent by an F5 BIG-IP system when a disk sled is physically removed from its bay in the chassis. It alerts network administrators to physical hardware changes that may affect system capacity or redundancy. Operations teams use this trap to trigger alerts and initiate inventory/recovery procedures when disk hardware is removed.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' F5-BIGIP-COMMON-MIB::bigipLibhalDiskBayRemoved
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.118

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
