agentSntpClientSourceInterface

Module: EdgeSwitch-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): EdgeSwitch-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::agentSntpClientSourceInterface

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.17.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndexOrZero

Access: read-write

Description: A source-interface selection on an Interface Index (like vlan based routing interface, port based routing interface, loopback interface, tunnel interface). A non-zero value indicates ifIndex for the corresponding interface entry in the ifTable is selected. A zero value indicates the source-interface un-selection.

What is agentSntpClientSourceInterface?

Pins outgoing SNTP requests to a specific source interface (VLAN, routed port, loopback, or tunnel) by ifIndex; a value of zero means no source interface is selected and the switch uses its normal routing decision. This matters when a firewall or ACL upstream only permits NTP traffic from one known management address.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.17.1.1.14
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> EdgeSwitch-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::agentSntpClientSourceInterface

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.17.1.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> EdgeSwitch-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::agentSntpClientSourceInterface.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.17.1.1.14.1 s <value>
