What Is EdgeSwitch-MVR-PRIVATE-MIB?

EdgeSwitch-MVR-PRIVATE-MIB is a Ubiquiti private MIB for the EdgeSwitch line covering Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR), a feature that lets multicast streams on a dedicated multicast VLAN be efficiently distributed to receiver ports on other VLANs. Such an MVR MIB typically exposes global MVR enable state, the configured multicast VLAN, per-port MVR role (source or receiver) configuration, and multicast group membership status. In terms of hardware/software status monitoring, this MIB reflects the operational state of multicast distribution on the switch: whether MVR is enabled, which ports are acting as multicast sources, and which receiver ports have active group memberships, letting an operator detect a receiver port failing to receive an expected multicast stream.
