extremeSmartTrapRulesSupportedOID

Module: EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB

OID (symbolic): EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB::extremeSmartTrapRulesSupportedOID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.6.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OBJECT IDENTIFIER

Access: read-only

Description: The OID for which this entry is created. This is based on the granularity supported by the agent corresponding to the extremeSmartTrapRulesDesiredOID that the management station desires. This object has a value that is a prefix of, or is equal to the value of ExtremeSmartTrapRulesDesiredOID. The agent specifes this value before setting the extremeSmartTrapRulesRowStatus to active.

What is extremeSmartTrapRulesSupportedOID?

This read-only object reports the actual OID granularity the agent is able to monitor for a rule, which may be a prefix of (or equal to) the OID the management station requested in extremeSmartTrapRulesDesiredOID. The agent fills this in before the rule row becomes active, letting the manager see exactly what scope of monitoring was actually granted. For example, if a manager requests a rule on a specific table entry OID but the agent can only watch at the table level, extremeSmartTrapRulesSupportedOID would show the broader table OID instead.
