extremeSmartTrapFlushInstanceTableIndex
Module: EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB
OID (symbolic): EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB::extremeSmartTrapFlushInstanceTableIndex
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.6.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: When this object is set, the agent will delete all rows from the extremeSmartTrapInstanceTable which meet the following rules: 1. The InstanceTableIndex is equal to the value obtained by taking the two most significant bytes of this integer and right-shifting it by two bytes as an unsigned int. 2. The InstanceTableSubIndex is less than or equal to the value obtained by masking this object value with 0x0000FFFF. If the value obtained is zero, then all rows with the specified InstanceTableIndex should be deleted.
What is extremeSmartTrapFlushInstanceTableIndex?
Writing to this object triggers the agent to bulk-delete rows from the extremeSmartTrapInstanceTable, using the written integer's upper two bytes as the target rule's InstanceTableIndex and its lower two bytes as a subindex threshold below which rows are purged (or all rows for that index if the threshold is zero). Admins use this to clear out accumulated change-event history for a given rule once it has been reviewed, preventing the instance table from growing unbounded. For example, an admin writes a value whose upper bytes match rule index 2 and whose lower bytes are 0 to flush all recorded change events for that rule.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.6.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB::extremeSmartTrapFlushInstanceTableIndex
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.6.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-TRAPPOLL-MIB::extremeSmartTrapFlushInstanceTableIndex.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.6.3.1 i <value>
