extremeTargetAddrExtStandardMode
Module: EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB
OID (symbolic): EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB::extremeTargetAddrExtStandardMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.23.1.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: When this object is set to TRUE, the management target will be treated as a 'standard mode' one, in that any Extreme Networks specific extra varbinds present in a standards-based trap/notification will not be sent to this management target. Only the varbinds defined in the standard will be sent.
What is extremeTargetAddrExtStandardMode?
This boolean, defaulting to false, when set to true strips any Extreme Networks-specific extra varbinds from standards-based traps sent to this management target, sending only the varbinds defined by the relevant standard. An admin enables this for third-party or standards-strict NMS platforms that might choke on vendor-specific extra varbinds appended to a standard trap. Setting it to true for a target ensures that target only ever receives the strictly standard set of varbinds in its traps, dropping any Extreme-specific extensions.
