extremeTargetAddrExtIgnoreMPModel
Module: EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB
OID (symbolic): EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB::extremeTargetAddrExtIgnoreMPModel
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.23.1.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: When this object is set to TRUE, the version of the trap/notification sent to the corresponding management target (trap receiver) will be the same as in releases of Extremeware prior to 7.1.0. Thus, the value of the snmpTargetParamsMPModel object in the snmpTargetParamsTable will be ignored while determining the version of the trap/notification to be sent. When a trap-receiver is created via the RMON trapDestTable or from the CLI command 'configure snmp add trapreceiver ....', the value of this object will be set to TRUE for the corresponding entry in this table.
What is extremeTargetAddrExtIgnoreMPModel?
This boolean, defaulting to false, makes the switch send traps to this target using the pre-7.1.0 ExtremeWare version behavior, ignoring the snmpTargetParamsMPModel object that would otherwise determine the trap's protocol version; it is automatically set true for trap receivers created via the RMON trapDestTable or the CLI 'configure snmp add trapreceiver' command. An admin encounters this mainly as legacy compatibility behavior, and would set it to false to have the trap version instead follow the standard SNMP target-params configuration for that receiver. A value of true on a given target means traps sent to it use the older Extreme-specific version-selection logic rather than the standards-based SNMP target-params model.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.23.1.1.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB::extremeTargetAddrExtIgnoreMPModel
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.23.1.1.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-SNMPV3-MIB::extremeTargetAddrExtIgnoreMPModel.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.23.1.1.1.1.1 s <value>
