Module: EXTREME-SERVICES-MIB

OID (symbolic): EXTREME-SERVICES-MIB::extremeRemoteSyslogServerStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.26.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: RowStatus

Access: read-create

Description: The status of the Row as per standard row status conventions. Only 'createAndGo', 'active' and 'destroy' will be supported. It is not possible to change the values of the objects of a row once it has been created, except by 'destroy'ing and re-creating the row.

What is extremeRemoteSyslogServerStatus?

This is the RowStatus control for a remote-syslog-server table entry, governing whether the row exists and is active. Since only createAndGo, active, and destroy are supported, an admin must delete and recreate the entire row to change any of its indexed values like the port or facility. An admin adding a new syslog server sets this to createAndGo(4) in the same SNMP request that supplies the address, port, and facility.
