OID (symbolic): EXTREME-SERVICES-MIB::extremeAuthServerClientAddressType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.26.4.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressType

Access: read-write

Description: Type of IP address to use as the SRC address when contacting the the radius/tacas server. The radius/tacas server should be configured with this address as one of its clients. The switch should have a VLAN with this IP address.

What is extremeAuthServerClientAddressType?

This specifies the address type of the source IP the switch will use when it sends authentication requests to the RADIUS or TACACS+ server. It matters because the AAA server must have this same source address configured as one of its known clients, and the switch must own a VLAN interface with that address. An admin sets this to ipv4(1) to match a management VLAN IP like 172.16.0.1 that's already whitelisted on the RADIUS server.
