nwSetFrameFormat

Module: ESI-MIB

OID (symbolic): ESI-MIB::nwSetFrameFormat

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.683.6.3.2.4.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the frame format that the print server is using. Setting this value to 1 (Auto_Sense) indicates that automatic frame format sensing will be used.

In order for changes to this variable to take effect, the print server must be reset. See cmdReset to do this.

What is nwSetFrameFormat?

Configures which frame format the print server should use for NetWare/IPX traffic, or auto-Sense(1) to detect it automatically. Mismatched frame formats between print server and file server are a classic reason NetWare printing silently fails; requires a device reset to take effect.
