Description: A unique identification number for the network protocol.
What is genProtocolID?
A coded identifier for the protocol in a genProtocolTable row: tcp-ip(1), netware(2), vines(3), lanmanger(4), or ethertalk(5). Automation scripts use this numeric value rather than parsing genProtocolDescr text to detect which stacks are active.
