esModuleLinkDisplayMap

Module: ES-MODULE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ES-MODULE-MIB::esModuleLinkDisplayMap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.437.1.1.2.1.2.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: A bit array where the presence of a particular bit indicates a lit link LED for a module port.

Each octet within the value of this object specifies a set of eight link LEDs, with the first octet specifying link LEDs for ports 1 through 8, the second octet specifying link LEDs 9 through 16, etc. Within each octet, the most significant bit represents the lowest numbered LED, and the least significant bit represents the highest numbered LED. Thus, each LED is represented by a single bit within the value of this object. If that bit has a value of '1' then that LED is currently lit; the LED is not lit if its bit has a value of '0'.

What is esModuleLinkDisplayMap?

This is a bitmap mirroring the module's front-panel link LEDs, one bit per port, where a '1' bit means that port's link LED is currently lit. An admin's management tool can use this to remotely check link status across all of a module's ports at once, without needing to look at the physical hardware.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ES-MODULE-MIB::esModuleLinkDisplayMap

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.437.1.1.2.1.2.1.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ES-MODULE-MIB::esModuleLinkDisplayMap.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> esModuleLinkDisplayMap.1
