errReqId

Module: ERR-STATUS-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERR-STATUS-MIB::errReqId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.910.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the SNMP PDU request ID associated with the packet which resulted in error.

What is errReqId?

This holds the original SNMP request ID from the PDU that resulted in a failed SET operation, letting the value be matched back to the specific request that failed. An admin or management tool correlates this request ID against its own request logs to identify exactly which outgoing SET command triggered the recorded failure. If a manager sent a SET with request ID 4821 that failed, this object in the corresponding table entry would report 4821.
