Description: loadRelease(1) downloads a release specified by a URL (or File, Host, Protocol, User, Password)
startRelease(2) makes the node restart with a named Version
makePermanent(3) makes the named Version permanent, i.e. the default release used at reboot
removeRelease(4) removes a Version (must not be running)
The results of the loadRelease(1) and removeRelease(4) actions are availabe in the elnSoftwareActionStatus object, all other results are directly returned.
The parameters for the action must be set before or in the same SNMP-SET as the action.
What is elnSoftwareAction?
This read-write value triggers a software management operation: loadRelease downloads a new release from a URL, startRelease reboots the node into a named version, makePermanent sets a named version as the default at reboot, and removeRelease deletes a (non-running) version. Related parameters like elnSoftwareActionVersion or elnSoftwareActionURL must be set before or in the same SNMP-SET as this action, and the outcome of loadRelease/removeRelease shows up afterward in elnSoftwareActionStatus.
