OID (symbolic): ERI-DNX-SMC-MIB::trapDestCfgTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.644.2.4.0.15

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap is used to notify a NMS that a user has updated the configuration for a given Trap Destination entry.

What is trapDestCfgTrap?

This notification is sent to a management system whenever an administrator updates the configuration of a trap destination (SNMP collection point). The trap confirms that a configuration change has been made and includes details about which destination was modified and the status of the change. This helps management systems stay synchronized with the actual trap destination settings on the network device.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ERI-DNX-SMC-MIB::trapDestCfgTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.644.2.4.0.15

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
