This trap is used to notify a NMS that a new connection map has been activated or that a connection map has been successfully copied to another inactive map.
What is connMapMgrTrap?
This OID represents an alert notification sent when a new connection mapping configuration has been activated or successfully copied to backup storage. It notifies management stations of critical configuration changes that affect data flow routing. A network operations center receives this notification to log when someone deploys a new connection routing map, aiding with audit trails and change tracking.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ERI-DNX-SMC-MIB::connMapMgrTrap snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.644.2.4.0.4
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
