The Bit Group selections for a connection of the VCMP or subChannel type. There are 2 4-bit groups at speed 32 Kbps and 4 2-bit groups at speed 16 Kbps. They specify the position of the compressed data within the selected DS0. Applicable to DNX-1u with Transcoder Hardware.

What is addComm?
This OID specifies the communication type supported on a system connection: data only, voice only, or voice with compression conversion. It tells you what kind of traffic (or combined traffic types) this connection can carry. A telecom technician would set this when configuring a new T1 or digital circuit for voice, data, or hybrid use.
