oHSCfgNetLoop

Module: ERI-DNX-OCTAL-HIGH-SPEED-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERI-DNX-OCTAL-HIGH-SPEED-MIB::oHSCfgNetLoop

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.644.2.4.2.5.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: FunctionSwitch

Access: read-write

Description: Determines whether or not the port should respond to V.54 loop diagnostic codes received from the network supplier. Select 'enable' unless the commands are to be passed to another High Speed device.

What is oHSCfgNetLoop?

oHSCfgNetLoop controls whether the port responds locally to V.54 loop diagnostic codes sent by the network supplier. An admin leaves this enabled so the port itself answers network-initiated loopback tests, but disables it when those V.54 commands need to pass through to a downstream High Speed device instead. For example, in a daisy-chained topology where a carrier's loop test is meant for a device further down the line, an admin would disable oHSCfgNetLoop on this port so the codes pass through rather than being answered here.
