What is etsysVlanAuthorizationEnable?

This setting is the master switch that turns the VLAN authorization feature on or off across the entire device, controlling whether authentication results (like a RADIUS-assigned VLAN) are ever applied to ports at all. Administrators enable this globally before configuring per-port VLAN authorization behavior, since disabling it here overrides and suppresses any VLAN changes that would otherwise happen from successful 802.1x or MAC authentications. For example, a network admin rolling out dynamic VLAN assignment via RADIUS would first set this object to enabled before configuring individual ports to respond to those authentication results.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.48.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-VLAN-AUTHORIZATION-MIB::etsysVlanAuthorizationEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.48.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-VLAN-AUTHORIZATION-MIB::etsysVlanAuthorizationEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.48.1.1.1.1 s <value>
