Module: ENTERASYS-VIRTUAL-SWITCH-BONDING-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-VIRTUAL-SWITCH-BONDING-MIB::etsysVsbPortOperStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.83.1.3.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The operational status of the bonding port for this ifIndex. If the state is NOT up, then it is down for the stated reason, if known. If etsysVsbPortAdminStatus is down(2), then etsysVsbPortOperStatus should be down(2). If etsysVsbPortAdminStatus is changed to up(1) the etsysVsbPortOperStatus should change to up(1) if the interface is ready to transmit and receive bonding traffic. It should remain in the down(2) state if and only if there is a fault that prevents it from going to the up(1) state.

What is etsysVsbPortOperStatus?

This object reports the operational status of a bonding port: up(1), down(2), or one of several fault reasons such as highLatency(3), probeLoop(4), probeTimeout(5), or portInstability(6); it tracks etsysVsbPortAdminStatus but stays down if a fault prevents the interface from becoming operational. An admin uses this to diagnose why a configured bonding port isn't passing bonding traffic. For example, a value of probeTimeout(5) would tell the admin the bonding link's health-check probes aren't getting responses, pointing to a connectivity issue on that link.
