Description: Denotes the signature method that is used for authenticating the exchange of keys.
DSS (Digital Signature Standard) DSA (Digital Signature Algorithm, DSS compliant) RSA (Rivest, Shamir and Adelman) Sha (Secure Hash Algorithm) Md5 (Message Digest 5)
dhAnon (1) - Anonymous Diffie Hellmen, no signatures dsaSha1 (2) - DSS , Sha-1 Hash dsaSha (3) - DSS signatures, Sha Hash rsaSha1 (4) - RSA signatures, Sha-1 Hash rsaMd2 (5) - RSA signatures, Md2 Hash rsaMd5 (6) - RSA signatures, Md5 Hash
What is etsysTlsSignatureType?
This object selects the signature method -- combining an algorithm (Diffie-Hellman anonymous, DSA, or RSA) with a hash function (SHA or MD5) -- used to authenticate the key exchange during TLS handshakes. An admin moves this away from the insecure default of dhAnon(1), which provides no authentication at all, to an authenticated option like rsaSha1(4) to protect against man-in-the-middle attacks on the management session. For example, setting this to rsaSha1(4) has the device authenticate key exchanges using RSA signatures over a SHA-1 hash instead of no signature at all.
