Module: ENTERASYS-LINK-FLAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-LINK-FLAP-MIB::etsysLinkFlapIntfCurrentElapsed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.52.1.2.1.1.10

Description: The current number of completed system ticks accrued on this interface during the current monitor interval. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime. This information is always available and current. Maintaining the value of this object across agent reboots is NOT RECOMMENDED.

What is etsysLinkFlapIntfCurrentElapsed?

This read-only value, in seconds, reports how much of the current monitoring interval has elapsed for this interface's link-flap tracking. Admins use it alongside etsysLinkFlapIntfLinkdownCountCurrent to judge how much of the configured etsysLinkFlapIntfTimeInterval window remains before the transition count resets. For example, if this reads 8 seconds into a 10-second interval with 3 flaps already counted, an admin knows just 2 seconds remain before the window closes and the count restarts.
