OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-IETF-P-BRIDGE-MIB-EXT-MIB::etsysDot1dPortPriorityRewrite

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.33.1.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

Access: read-write

Description: The enabled/disabled status of the rewriting of the 802.1P priority in tagged frames on the port.

What is etsysDot1dPortPriorityRewrite?

This object, defaulting to disabled, turns on or off the rewriting of the 802.1p priority field in tagged frames as they pass through a given bridge port. An administrator enables it on a port where incoming frames carry untrusted or inconsistent priority markings and the switch needs to overwrite them with its own trusted classification before forwarding. Enabling it on an access port facing an unmanaged phone would let the switch rewrite that phone's voice traffic to the correct priority regardless of what value the phone itself set.
