Description: The temperature value below which the ambient temperature is deemed to be cold.

To correctly interpret the value of this object, the associated entPhySensorType, entPhySensorScale, and entPhySensorPrecision objects must also be examined.

What is etsysEntityTempSensorColdTemp?

etsysEntityTempSensorColdTemp is the temperature value below which this entity's ambient temperature is deemed to be cold, per its description. An admin uses this as the most severe low-temperature threshold, the counterpart to etsysEntityTempSensorHotTemp, to know when a device has dropped into a state that may itself risk reliable operation. For example, a reading of 2 degrees against a cold threshold of 5 would push etsysEntityTempSensorState to cold(2), the coldest defined state.
