etsysEncrDot1xAuthTxPeriod

Module: ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB::etsysEncrDot1xAuthTxPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.19.1.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: An encrypted octet string containing

The value, in seconds, of the txPeriod constant currently in use by the Authenticator PAE state machine.

Alternately, the default value (for ports that use station-based access control, and that therefore may support many virtual PAEs).

The data type is 1, Integer32.

What is etsysEncrDot1xAuthTxPeriod?

This object holds, in encrypted form, the txPeriod timer value in seconds used by the 802.1x Authenticator PAE state machine per IEEE 802.1x Section 9.6.4.1. Admins tune this to control how often the port retransmits EAP-Request/Identity frames to a supplicant that has not yet responded. For example, an encrypted value decoding to 30 makes the switch resend identity requests every 30 seconds.
