Module: ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB::etsysEncrDot1xAuthStationReauthenticate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.19.1.1.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: An encrypted octet string containing

The reauthentication control for this Authenticator PAE. Setting this attribute to TRUE causes the Authenticator PAE state machine to reauthenticate the Supplicant. Setting this attribute FALSE has no effect. This attribute always returns FALSE when it is read.

SYNTAX INTEGER { true(1), false(2) }

The data type is 1, Integer32.

What is etsysEncrDot1xAuthStationReauthenticate?

This object holds, in encrypted form, a boolean-style true/false control that forces reauthentication for a specific station-based Authenticator PAE per IEEE 802.1x Section 9.4.1.3. Setting it to an encrypted true makes that PAE's state machine reauthenticate its supplicant, and the value always reads back as false. For example, an admin sets an encrypted true to force reauthentication of one virtual PAE without disturbing other stations sharing the port.
