etsysEncrDot1xAuthReAuthPeriod

Module: ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-ENCR-8021X-CONFIG-MIB::etsysEncrDot1xAuthReAuthPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.19.1.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: An encrypted octet string containing

The value, in seconds, of the reAuthPeriod constant currently in use by the Reauthentication Timer state machine.

Alternately, the default value (for ports that use station-based access control, and that therefore may support many virtual PAEs).

The data type is 1, Integer32.

What is etsysEncrDot1xAuthReAuthPeriod?

This object holds, in encrypted form, the reAuthPeriod value in seconds used by the 802.1x Reauthentication Timer state machine per IEEE 802.1x Section 9.6.4.1. Admins tune this to set how often an already-authenticated port is required to reauthenticate against the RADIUS server. For example, an encrypted value decoding to 60 forces reauthentication every 60 seconds when reauthentication is enabled.
