Access: read-write

Description: An encrypted octet string containing

The enable/disable control used by the Reauthentication Timer state machine (8.5.5.1).

Alternately, the default value (for ports that use station-based access control, and that therefore may support many virtual PAEs).

SYNTAX INTEGER { true(1), false(2) }

The data type is 1, Integer32.

What is etsysEncrDot1xAuthReAuthEnabled?

This object holds, in encrypted form, a boolean-style true/false flag controlling whether the 802.1x Reauthentication Timer state machine is active for a port per IEEE 802.1x Section 9.6.4.1. Admins enable this to make the switch periodically re-verify an authenticated client's credentials rather than trusting the session indefinitely. For example, an encrypted value decoding to false leaves reauthentication disabled once a client is authenticated.
