The value of the maxReq constant currently in use by the Backend Authentication state machine.

Alternately, the default value (for ports that use station-based access control, and that therefore may support many virtual PAEs).

The data type is 1, Integer32.

What is etsysEncrDot1xAuthMaxReq?

This object holds, in encrypted form, the maxReq value used by the 802.1x Backend Authentication state machine per IEEE 802.1x Section 9.6.4.1, the maximum number of retransmissions to the supplicant. Admins tune this to control how many times the switch retries an authentication request before declaring failure. For example, an encrypted value decoding to 2 allows two retries before the supplicant is marked unauthenticated.
