Description: The type of remote AAA protocol to be used for handling the accounting information related to management accesses via the associated protocol.
When this object has the default value of any(1) the remote AAA protocol will be selected using the following precedence order RADIUS, TACACS+. A protocol will be selected if, and only if, it is enabled.
What is etsysAAAMgmtRemoteAcctProtocol?
This setting selects which remote AAA protocol, RADIUS or TACACS+, the switch uses to send accounting records (a log of what management-access users did) rather than for authentication itself. An administrator configures this so that management-session activity, like logins and configuration changes, gets logged centrally to a RADIUS or TACACS+ accounting server for audit purposes. With the default value of any(1), the switch prefers RADIUS over TACACS+ for accounting, using whichever of the two is actually enabled.
