Description: SS7 Linkset alarm [param1]

What is mccpLinksetAlarmTrap?

This is an alarm notification for SS7 (Signaling System 7) linkset events in telecommunications infrastructure, specifically for the MCCP (Multi-carrier Communications Control Protocol) signaling interface. The trap includes parameters that specify the alarm state and identifying information about which linkset is experiencing issues. Telecom operators and monitoring systems use this trap to detect signaling link failures and route calls through alternate signaling paths.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ELTEX-SMI-ACTUAL::mccpLinksetAlarmTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.3.30.3

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:54614->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (303677270) 35 days, 3:32:52.70
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: ELTEX-SMI-ACTUAL::mccpLinksetAlarmTrap

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' ELTEX-SMI-ACTUAL::mccpLinksetAlarmTrap
