eltULDIsAggressive

Module: ELTEX-MES-ULD-MIB

OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MES-ULD-MIB::eltULDIsAggressive

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.1.87.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the mode for unidirectional link detection protocol. If true then port is considered to be UNIDIRECTIONAL if there is no answer from remote side during discovery timeout. If false then port is considered to be UNKNOWN.

What is eltULDIsAggressive?

This read-write TruthValue, defaulting to false, sets whether the deprecated ULD feature treats a port with no answer from the remote side during the discovery timeout as definitively UNIDIRECTIONAL (true) or merely UNKNOWN (false). An admin enables aggressive mode when they want ULD to take a firmer stance and flag silence from the remote side as an actual unidirectional-link condition rather than an ambiguous unknown state. Setting eltULDIsAggressive to true on a critical link means a non-responding neighbor gets treated as a confirmed unidirectional fault rather than left in limbo.
