eltOspfAuthKeyId

Module: ELTEX-MES-IpRouter

OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MES-IpRouter::eltOspfAuthKeyId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.91.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The md5 authentication key ID. The value must be (1 to 255). This field identifies the algorithm and secret key used to create the message digest appended to the OSPF packet. Key Identifiers are unique per-interface (or equivalently, per-subnet).

What is eltOspfAuthKeyId?

This object holds the numeric key identifier, 1 to 255, associated with an MD5 authentication key configured on an OSPF interface, identifying which algorithm and secret key was used to generate the message digest appended to OSPF packets, with key identifiers unique per interface. An administrator sets this when configuring OSPF MD5 authentication, especially useful when rolling over to a new key without breaking existing adjacencies, since old and new keys can briefly coexist under different key IDs. Setting this to key ID 5 designates a specific MD5 key slot for that OSPF interface's authenticated packets.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.91.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-IpRouter::eltOspfAuthKeyId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.91.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ELTEX-MES-IpRouter::eltOspfAuthKeyId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.1.23.91.1.1.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> eltOspfAuthKeyId.1
