Module: ELTEX-MAC-NOTIFICATION-MIB
OID (symbolic): ELTEX-MAC-NOTIFICATION-MIB::eltexMnFlappingNotificationsEnabled
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.33.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: Specifies whether eltexMnFlappingNotification notifications will or will not be sent when a MAC flapping is detected by the MAC flapping notification feature.
Setting this object to false(2) will not send the eltexMnFlappingNotification notifications.
Setting this object to true(1) will send the eltexMnFlappingNotification notifications.
What is eltexMnFlappingNotificationsEnabled?
This object controls whether the device actually sends eltexMnFlappingNotification traps when the MAC flapping detection feature identifies a flapping address, independent of whether the detection feature itself is running. An admin can leave detection enabled but disable this to suppress trap noise while still using the flapping objects for polling. For example, setting this to false stops notifications from being sent even though eltexMnFlappingAddress and related objects continue to update when flapping is detected.
