OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.33.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies whether the MAC Flapping notification feature is currently running in the device.

Setting this object to false(2) disables the MAC Flapping notification feature globally.

Setting this object to true(1) will start the MAC Flapping notification feature running in the device.

What is eltexMnFlappingFeatureEnabled?

This object turns the MAC Flapping detection feature on or off globally on the device, with true starting the feature and false disabling it entirely. An admin sets this to true, the default, to have the switch actively watch for MAC addresses moving rapidly between ports, a common symptom of a network loop or misconfiguration. For example, an admin might set this to false temporarily while intentionally reconfiguring a redundant link, to avoid a flood of flapping alerts during the change.
