Description: This contols the Ethernet filter table. This object can be set to the following values: 'enable(1)': Enables the Ethernet filter table.
'countHits(2)': This option is used to debug the filter table. It allows packets to be checked against the filter table and increments dvbInaEthFilterMaches for a matching filter. However, all packets are allowed through.
'disabled(3)': Disables Ethernet filtering, all packets are allowed through.
What is dvbInaEthFilterEnable?
Controls the Ethernet filter table as a whole: enable (apply filters normally), countHits (test mode — matches are counted but all packets still pass, useful for validating rules), or disabled (all Ethernet filtering off). Admins use countHits to test a new Ethernet-level filter set before actually enforcing it.
