dsx1LineStatusChange
Module: DS1-MIB
OID (symbolic): DS1-MIB::dsx1LineStatusChange
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.18.15.0.1
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
A dsx1LineStatusChange trap is sent when the value of an instance dsx1LineStatus changes. It can be utilized by an Network Management Station (NMS) to trigger polls. When the line status change results from a higher-level line status change (i.e., DS3), then no traps for the DS1 are sent.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' DS1-MIB::dsx1LineStatusChange snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.18.15.0.1
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:65255->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (155260647) 17 days, 23:16:46.47 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: DS1-MIB::dsx1LineStatusChange
