What is tmonV2STalarmSet?

This SNMP notification (trap) is sent by a DPS Telecom monitoring system whenever a new status alarm is triggered on monitored equipment. The trap carries details about the site, alarm condition, severity, and time of the event. Network operators receive these notifications to be immediately alerted to infrastructure problems requiring investigation or response.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' DPS-MIB-V38-V2::tmonV2STalarmSet
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2682.1.1.16

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
