What is tmonV2MNalarmSet?
This SNMP trap is sent whenever a minor-level alarm condition is detected and activated on a DPS Time and Monitoring system. Minor alarms signal non-critical but noteworthy issues that may degrade performance or require attention; operators receive this trap to log the event and determine if manual intervention is needed. The trap payload includes alarm details such as severity, affected resource, and timestamp.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' DPS-MIB-V38-V2::tmonV2MNalarmSet snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2682.1.1.14
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
