lanaForwBroadcast
Module: DPI-LANA-MIB
OID (symbolic): DPI-LANA-MIB::lanaForwBroadcast
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.901.1.2.2.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Indicates whether the SNMP LAN Adapter forwards broadcast datagrams to the SNMP-managed device. The factory default value is disabled (2).
What is lanaForwBroadcast?
This read-write enumerated integer controls whether the LANA unit forwards broadcast datagrams through to the SNMP-managed device attached to it, with disabled(2) as the factory default. An admin toggles it to enabled(1) only when the attached device needs to see broadcast traffic relayed from the LANA's network side. For example, leaving it at disabled(2) keeps unnecessary broadcast noise off the managed device's serial link.
