Module: DOCS-IF31-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IF31-MIB::docsIf31CmtsUsOfdmaDataIucStatsUnreliableCodewords

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.28.1.24.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute contains the count of codewords received on this channel using this Data IUC that failed the post-decoding syndrome check.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at reinitialization of the managed system, and at other times as indicated by the value of docsIf31CmtsUsOfdmaDataIucStats- CtrDiscontinuityTime.

What is docsIf31CmtsUsOfdmaDataIucStatsUnreliableCodewords?

A 64-bit counter of codewords received on this upstream OFDMA channel using this Data IUC that failed the post-decoding syndrome check, i.e. uncorrectable errors, aggregated across all modems using that IUC. This is the key uncorrectable-error counter admins watch per IUC/modulation tier; a rising count here for a specific IUC while other IUCs on the same channel stay clean points to a modulation-specific issue rather than a broad plant problem, and the counter can reset on system reinitialization.

Examples
