Module: DOCS-IF31-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IF31-MIB::docsIf31CmtsCmRegStatusMinUsableDsFreq

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.28.1.3.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute is the higher of the CCAP's minimum supported downstream frequency and the CM's minimum supported downstream frequency. It indicates the lowest downstream frequency the CCAP can use to communicate with this CM taking into account the capabilities of both devices. This object is applicable to DOCSIS 3.1 modems but not to prior versions of DOCSIS modems. If the CM is a pre-DOCSIS 3.1 modem, the CMTS returns zero.

What is docsIf31CmtsCmRegStatusMinUsableDsFreq?

Reports, in Hz, the lowest downstream frequency the CMTS can actually use to talk to this specific modem, computed as the higher of the CMTS's and the modem's minimum supported downstream frequencies. An admin can use this to understand why a modem isn't being assigned certain low-frequency downstream channels even though the plant supports them; applies only to DOCSIS 3.1 modems (zero on older ones).
